BRUNO DEMARIN Peacefully, at home, on Monday, May 16, 2005, Bruno DeMarin aged 60 passed away. He leaves his mother Domenica Trevisan of Turin, Italy; his wife of 22 years, Maria; five children, Anthony (Lori), Nadia (Luis), Johnny, Richard, and Marco; and four grandchildren, Michael, Matteo, Andrea and Juliette. He was predeceased by his father Antonio DeMarin and sister Lucilla Nardo. Bruno was born on November 1, 1944 in D'Ignano, Italy. He immigrated, along with his mother and sister to Canada in 1958. Shortly after coming to Canada, Bruno joined the Local 254 Pipefitters and Steamfitters Union. He was employed through this union for most of his life and spent sporadic placements up north and out of town to gain employment. Bruno loved being at home. He had wonderful memories of his first home in Charleswood and would often reminisce about raising his children there, his swimming pool, building his home. He built a second home in Lindenwoods, where he lived the duration of his life. Upon retirement, he spent most of his time watching soccer, world political events, real court room dramas and old movies. He loved to make his rounds on the phone to just call everyone to make sure they were alive as he would say. Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Parish, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. also in the church with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. Poppy, we will miss you. We love you. You are, finally, at peace.
